


POLD SURVEY
The Place of Last Drink (POLD) Surveys is a scientifically tested survey and data collection process* to identify the place of last drink of DUI offenders. It has been supported for 15 years in several counties across the state and is designed as part of a community partnership to drive prevention efforts.
*Survey questions were developed and tested by reputable researchers: John Clapp SDSU, Kristin Donovan from EVAL Corp.
The purpose of the survey is to gather data that will help reduce DUI related incidents by
• Identifying high risk retailers (e.g. bars, liquor stores, restaurants)
• Developing policies to reduce over service and youth access
• Helping to focus Law Enforcement resources
• Aiding DUI providers in delivering more effective services
How it works? All DUI providers within San Bernardino County are currently administering the POLD Survey to all of their clients. The DUI providers participating in this survey include:
